The Indonesian Children and Youth Choir – Cordana

Respected throughout Indonesia as the leader of children and youth choir, the choir serves to be in the most humble sense, an eye opener to all. While retaining their cultural heritage which makes them unique, they provide their audience the access to tap into the richness and diversity of Indonesian culture. Their performances have reached international exposure, heightened primarily by their continuous participation in international competitions and festivals worldwide. As if to complement their classical origin, the Choir is known to perform regularly with the Nusantara Symphony Orchestra.

Among its collection of international awards, the Choir has received awards from the USA, Germany, Poland, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Holland, and other countries.

In addition to these the choir was invited to perform in the “Golden Gate Festival” , the IFCM Asia-Pacific Choral Symposium in Singapore, the World Harmony Tour in Washington, DC in 2003, The American Choral Directors Association National Convention (ACDA) in Miami, the 8th World Symposium of Choral Music in Copenhagen, the Incheon International Choir Festival, Korea, Festival Musica Sacra International in Marktoberdorf, Germany, and Festival Polyfollia (4th World Showcase and Marketplace for Choral Singing in France). Festival 500 Newfoundland, Canada, Musica Sacra en San Juan, Argentina, 1st European Choir Games, Graz-Austria, The 15th Taipei International Choral Festival, Taiwan, IFCM Asia Pacific World Choral Expo in Macau.
